It seems fitting to me that our first real blog post should be about our grand re-opening. It’s not that we ever closed – though there were some scary days this December when it was nearly impossible to get into our parking lot and inevitably there was a dump truck blocking our front door – but you persevered and we survived.
Now that the construction on the exterior is complete and the inside is looking snazzy, we asked the distributors, vendors, and manufacturers with whom we work closely to send a little something for a door prize. THAT’S when the madness began! Everyone said YES and the stuff started pouring in. The generosity of our friends is astonishing and heartwarming. The center event space (we call it the “ballroom”!) is chock-full of bird cages, aquarium set-ups, cat furniture, pet food, dog treats – I could go on and on!
As the items arrived we put ballot boxes next to them and started giving one door prize ticket for every $10 spent. We encouraged our customers to put their door prize tickets in the box next to whichever prize they wanted most – that way a dog lover wouldn’t win a bird cage.
On Saturday, February 14th at noon we will pull the winning tickets. Winners do not have to be present, but since we’re giving DOUBLE POINTS to our Reward Club members that day, you may want to stop by. (Join our Rewards Club today – it’s FREE!)
We knew renovating the store would be a challenge, but we had no idea how crazy it would get. The BEST part is: it’s OVER and we’re thrilled with the results. Come see and let me know what you think.
